1) This nursery rhyme and another popular nursery rhyme 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' both have the same melody which was composed by Mozart.
2) It is believed that this rhyme was composed as a complaint against the heavy wool tax that was collected during the 12th century in the Europe.
